Called my Do Not Call registered number. No message left. Return call (*67 blocked) is answered by automated voice message state "the survey is over" and offering to remove my number from this list.
The key to the survey exemption is the word "legitimate". Many scammers use surveying as a pretense for telemarketing. For example, Q1) How many weeks of vacation do you take per year?, Q2) What is your average expenditure per week during your vacation? Q3) Have you ever taken a cruise on your vacation? or Q4) Would you be interested is a special discounted cruise, unavailable to the general public? All of which is a pretense toward a timeshare hard sell or vacation club of some type.
If the surveying party was legitimate, it would identify itself properly in CallerID name, voicemail message left, and when answering the called from number. So in this case, none of the above were met. SCAMMER
Just another scammer call. Sure wish we could make all robo dialing calls illegal. And yes, that includes those companys that consider themselves legit. ie, banks, political surveys, non-profits, etc. Do away with bogus "do not call list". Just have a "Do Call list". If not on the list, then illegal to call. I am sure will be an inexpensive and short list.
