Any legit charity for any cause would have a caller ID indicating the caller, PERIOD. I agree that it is perhaps some boiler room operation collecting for any amount of money they can get. They don't leave messages as it's called off to the races for another sucker! SUCKER with capital letters. They thrive on suckers. They are immune from the Do not call registry as they are operating under the guise of a charity. Like someone poster prior said, "little to no money goes to the actual cause"! It's lining the pocket of some fat cat that's ripping the real cause off, PERIOD! NEVER rinse, I repeat NEVER give any caller anything. If it comes up city and state, out or area, unknown, private, DO NOT ANSWER the phone.
