BUT any jackleg can pay their fees and wear a white hat
also, many burgs don't have anyone gullible to sign up, so you get no referrals
no pay - no ref.
Better off looking in your local BBB
it's free and any problems also get free resolutions

Home Advisor is a scam, taking money from both homeowners looking for construction help as well as the "screened professionals" that pay like an ad to be listed and perhaps called for quotes/work via this middle man's say so
again I left name/number to be placed on his no call list b/c he does not answer the phone
... nor, as this scam suggests can get a real job that serves, instead of pesters people
