Do NOT pay them a dime. They are criminal scammers. You've already described several FDCPA violations. Nobody calls ahead to warn of arrest. If you do talk to them again, insist they give you their mailing address so you (or your son) can certified-mail them either a letter demanding validation of the supposed debt, or if the debt is not his, a cease-communication letter.
Left message on phone stating an ongoing investigation that if the call was not returned that they would serve me at my residence or employer for a fradulant check. The have called before to my number but had the wrong person. she gave her name as Lut Dixion. Apparently its a collection agency becz the called my number a year ago with the same threat. If they know the person that they are looking for address and employer they would have started there after not reaching that person at my number.
Spoke to a person on the phone saying they were going to pick up my son concerning a fradulant check in May of 2007. And would'nt I like to clear this matter up because they were going to pick him up at 1:00 p.m. today. They ask me to send 1,204.87 to another company that will recieve the money. They would not give me a judges name or a case number. They said they sent something out but he ignored it. They never sent anything out concerning this matter. The lady said her name was N. Dixion and if I was not comfortable with using my credit credit card I could go to a cvs and use cash to get a receite, They said they will send me the entire package once it was payed.
Do not give them one red cent. Anyone that will not give you information about a debt and tell you to use non traceable means to pay them is a fraud. Look it up if your son has a warrant with your county sheriff's office. Chances are he does not have one and things like not paying a bill is not a crime.

I JUST FINISHED PAYING THIS COMPANY, COME TO FIND OUT, I DID HAVE A WARRANT, I VERIFIED THEIR COMPANY AND THEY NEVER ASKED ME TO SEND THEM A DIME. I HAVE BEEN SCAMED BEFORE BUT THIS COMPANY IS THE REAL DEAL AND THANKS TO THEM, I WILL NOT HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD AND THEY WILL NOT BE FILING CHARGES. ALL THIS PEOPLE ON HERE MAKING NEGATIVE COMMENTS, SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE TRYING TO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBLITY FOR SOMETHING YOU DID AND KNOW IT IS CATCHING UP WITH YOU. LET'S BE ADULTS AND TAKE CARE OF OUR RESPONSIBLITIES, OR YOU CAN SIT IN JAIL AND HAVE SOMEONE TO BAIL YOU OUT. EITHER WAY IT GOES, WHEN YOU OWE SOMEONE, YOU KNOW EVENTUALLY THEY WILL BE CONTACTING YOU ABOUT WHAT IS OWED. CHECK WITH YOUR STATE LAWS, BECAUSE COMPANIES ARE ABLE TO FILE SUIT AGAINIST YOU AND ITS UP TO THEM WHETHER OR NOT YOU CAN RESOLVE ONCE YOU IGNORE NOTIFICATIONS SENT VIA CERTIFIED MAIL.
