They appear to be some kind of broker, as he stated in his voice mail that they represent several insurance companies and find the best policy for the clients' needs. He gave a toll-free call-back number of (866) 912-4740. I have not called him back yet to verify the toll-free number.

I also received a call from Chris Marshall from an E-Financial. Same deal -- looking to respond to my online request for life insurance. Unlike in your case though, I received a call from a woman in the voicemail, and I was given a different number. This one was (866) 912-4741. They called me from (443) 839-0998, which appears to be a cell number. I haven't called to confirm the number, but I'm not confident that this is legit.
