I got exactly the same call and recording today. The number comes up as coming from Texas- I called the number that came on my caller ID and of course it is a number that is listed as "not in service". These people have been calling for at least the past week sometimes 4 or 5 times a day. I am thinking of putting a block on the number- any thoughts. I too would just like these ridiculous calls to stop.
they left voice mail, asking for a call back. Calling them back got a auto msg saying all reps busy. Vry annoying, this has happened under the number of 281-647-4152 as well. I can never get anyone to answer the phone, and am not waiting for a rep.
This is a collection agency called Universal Fidelity - just called the number & that's what the recording said. I have spoken with someone from there in the past. My account is for unpaid business taxes, and they handle collections for the state of Ohio's accounts. Unfortunately, the State office is not staffed with reliable employees, because this matter was taken care of YEARS ago.
This agency's office also seems to have "unreliables" because I got a recording that said it was after hours & it's NOT after hours.
The guy that calls me seems to be "alright" because he doesn't talk to you like you're a p.o.s. that doesn't pay your bills, and seems to just be doing his job - sucky job that it may be...
This Company is uflp.com
Look them up.
I owe money to another company and keep getting calls from these scum bags.
I finally called them back to actually find out if they represented the company that owed money to. A guy named MIKE got on the phone and had the nerve to ask me how I was "getting by" while being unemployed. He then TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO REASON FOR A PERSON LIVING A LARGE METRO AREA SUCH AS MINE TO NOT BE EMPLOYED. I broke and filed a complaint with Greg Abbott, Texas attorney General. If I had a job I'd pay off these idiots -- but I won't when I do get a job. Check out their PHILOSOPHY on their website. You'll get picture right here:
Universal Fidelity LP requires debtors to pay in a manner consistent with their ability to repay their obligations. "We will always respect the rights and dignity of the debtor and we will not allow unreasonable or unlawful demands to be made or implied.”
Yeah right. We'll see what the Texas Attorney General says about their so-called philosophy. I even sent them a job application along with my resume -- and a copy a my filed report with Mr. Abbott. Maybe now these kind of bottom-feeder *******'s will stop bothering me with their PHILOSOPHY.
