Called in evening around 8:45PM, Caller ID only shows "TEXAS". The caller tried to leave a message asking for me by my first name, then got confused and hung up. How hard is it to pronounce "Gump" (jk). No idea what he wanted or who he was with. Called back using *67 prefix, muted and on speaker, only got (fake) fast busy signal which was likely set up by them to confuse anyone that calls back.
So how can they be legit, whether with RNC or DNC or "Energy Conservation Group" if they obfuscate (look it up) their name and number?
I got a call twice yesterday. The ID said "Texas." Apparently callet ID can be gamed so that only the state of origin shows. The 1st time I requested a text. I got no text, and they called back again around 6:30 pm and my son answered. He had it on speaker, and someone who sounded like a thug asked for "Robert." My son told him there eas no Robert at this number, and he hung up. Now, the next day, I get a call again, butdidn't answer.
You'd think this jerk would know by now that there is no Robert here. This is some kind of scam.
