Scam, calledthe number back, automated system....entered junk info about credit card. System came back that my card was already active. Really....pressed 16 random numbers and pin. Nice scam. Called via a voip number that does not ring anywhere. No option to get a live person.
Appears to be scam to entice me to call the number.
Received the following text message on my cell phone
(I substituted "*" for various numbers and letters):
"From: hotmail.********@ROOT.*****.*******.**********.t.
IMPORTANT message F C U card has been put on
hold. Call from activation online support 1-281-674-8833."
I used whitepages.com to look up the number and lists the
number belonging to Trs Inc in Webster, TX. One of four
comments on whitepages.com was same as my message
about "F C U card".

Looked up and found reference to TRS in Webster, TX. Got a hotmail text saying my ATM card had a hold put on it and to call. They didn't specify the bank my card is from, so I knew it was a scam. I didn't fall for it.
Asking for bank card number and pin.......first a text to call that number atm card has benn placed on hold.......message from [email protected] thats all u se
