I also received a message on facebook. From a woman called Ashley Houf.
"Nice pics..
Do u like girls with piercings?
er.. I gotta go right now :(
Text me today 281-712-8367 :)"
This is definitely a scam. There have been several recorded instances of phishing for information from people in this manner. DO NOT RESPOND to these messages. The best thing that can be done in this instance is to unfriend that person on facebook immediately and report it to the Facebook staff so that profile can be removed from their site.
Girl I got it from has a Facebook page with the name Jessica Capraro. But if you search that name you find a woman from Italy. That number is registered in Katy Texas.
I now have a bit more information on this message and what it's about, so I'm going to add this to this thread:
The account that is sending these messages is a fake account set up to send these messages in hopes that you will respond to them via text message. If you do, you will be sent a link to a pornographic site, according to a poster here who did text the number.
