I got call from Jonathan Brown@ 281-742-6993 Recording says ace cash and express. Wanted $100 then more as days went by to hold application in que. Sent official looking email, but all labels looked PhotoShop. Only had his number and stated new branch that corporate could not verify. Had them call me back from 800 #. When hit redial, recording said chase bank. Called 281# back and was informed I incorrectly dialed wrong number. What's scary is he already had my info. I owe Ace money, so could not see getting approved for an additional $3000..

I had applied for a loan with Ace cash express however was denied. Then I got an email from this person. I stead I called the Ace corporate office. And they had no record of applications on file for me. I gave them the information that was sent to me. And was advised that it is a scam. That person had nothing to do with Ace Cash Express. So sad and disappointing.
SCAM! I got an email from "Marvin Wright" yet the attached documents were from "Daniel Gray." I made the mistake if calling the number. It was odd how the person knew who I was and all my contact info WITHOUT me telling him. It seemed illegitimate...so I didn't give my routing number or account number (LUCKILY.) I googled the number, and found this forum. I called Ace Cash Express cooperate office. They confirmed THIS IS A SCAM. I blocked the number. Yuck.
It depends on how you paid them. If you used a cash wire transfer service (Western Union, Money Gram, etc.) your money is lost. You sent cash. Untraceable cash that can be picked up anywhere in the world. If you had a withdraw from your bank account, there is a slight chance. If that was the case you have to go to your bank & explain the situation. Don't be embarrassed, they've heard this before. In future please remember that any request for an advance fee to get a loan, prize, gift, lottery win, etc. is a scam. Every time.
