First and foremost, thank you to the above people who have posted. Had it not been for your posts I too might of been scammed.
I was contacted via text by an individual identifying themselves as "Jessica". I too posted a bedroom set on Craigslist for sale. Subject sounded legit and requested I set up a PayPal account. Something didn't feel right, so I contacted PayPal. The PayPal specialist was very helpful and provided me with tips to help me avoid being scammed. One thing they advised was for me to obtain an email address from "Jessica" and that PayPal would verify for me if the e-mail account provided to me was indeed active. Well, it didn't get that far. I asked "Jessica for his/her e-mail address and after a while they provided
[email protected]. I contacted PayPal with the e-mail information and they too believe that it is a scam and suggested for me to refrain from further contact with "Jessica as to avoid any future headaches. I hope this post helps someone as the above posts helped me.
