Call was supposedly from the FBI Steven Novak Gov. ID # N11007 Div. 78 of the Narcotic Unit
Doc # CRM980001406DEA2013
Threated to have me arrested within the next 15 minutes for a previous purchase. Call had already been made to a friend of mine so I laughed it off at the guy and made the choice to be "arrested" if that is what needed to be done. Haven't seen anyone yet.
I got a call from these scammers and when they told me I was going to be arrested. I told them that I had a prescription, he said "ok, I'll just put out a warrent for your arrest...I then called the local DEA office to find out what was going on and they told me that it was a scam. If they want to talk to you , they will show up at your door.
This number called me in the middle of a family function..told me I was going to be arrested and handcuffed if I did not cooperate. When I called back the number they actually answer the phone almost the same way the REAL DEA answers. He told me he was Federal Agent Andrew Wesler and gave me the name of the prosecuting attny., judge, docket number, etc. Made it sound very authentic.
This is just such a pathetic scam. This dick wad put me through hell and it wasn't until I actually went to the police dept. that I realized it was a scam.
I really hope they catch these idiots and put them away for a long time.
I read on another site that a woman actually committed suicide after getting these despicable phone calls. Why can't the FEDS catch them and shut them down already!! They have their number and should be able to trace it. This guy (guys) are in the suburbs of Houston and the DEA's headquarters are in Houston. Go after them already and put a stop to this extortion! It is a Federal offense to impersonate a Federal Officer and extort money from people, not to mention the terror they cause their victims. Come on....somebody is not doing their job! This has been going on for years and needs to stop.
