SCAM, this is a house rental scam. They take existing ads and add to them drastically reducing the price. The owner is always conveniently out-of-town. They then tell you to send a "refundable" deposit or you complete a credit application and they steal your identity
House rental scam! I inquired about a listing they had put on craigslist and received a suspicious email back. They wanted the deposit and rent, and also copies of my govt ID, all wiithout even having seen the property.
