I received a call from this number. The man calling had a strong foreign ascent. He claimed to be from the government and said I had been selected to receive a $9000 grant. I just needed to give him some of my information and they would send it to me. I choose not to provide my info.
This is a total scam! The guy claims he's from the "US" government and I've been awarded a $9000 grant! The guy what's personal info, which he should already have since he's the US government that randomly wants to get me money! Too funny! There's another scam out there where the IRS is calling to "sue" you if you don't pay a tax debt owned. He wants personal info and money too! Too funny the IRS suing without knowing the tax year in question and unable to tell the SSN this Tax debt is under!! Oh, the guy gets pissy too if you question his credentials. "Hang up!" But before you do tell them where to go!! I hate these EVIL woolen preying on, mostly, the unsuspected elderly! That's as evil as they come, I think!!
