I've received numerous calls from different numbers with the same caller ID, and it's simply the latest flavor-of-the-day phishing scam. The phone number may be spoofed, but it's worth blocking anyway. I also received a call immediately following this one from 972-497-2629 (caller ID "Texas"), which is probably the same criminal outfit.

I've been getting calls from this number and it listed Texas as the CID. Answered the call and a female voice began talking about an energy program to save money on high electric bills in my area. Told her I was not interested and got, "Ms. xxxxx, you're not interested in saving money?" I told her that I wasn't interested in anything, anytime and to stop calling. Here's the rub....I've also been getting calls from 1-804-420-4838 about charges for fraud against a social security number (the name they were seeking is former name of a man. (I've had the number for almost 8 years and am no relation nor know the former person.) When I attempted to call back the 804 number, the same voice for 281-824-3236 answered.
