Call from 281-872-0761 saying they wanted to talk about my bill for magazines that I receive. I explained that I hate magazines because they're a waste of paper, the articles are stupid and I have no subscriptions. She started arguing with me that I do have magazine subscriptions. I explained that I am the owner of the company and I would know much better whether or not my company has any subscriptions. She started arguing with me even more and got pissy saying that I was obviously having a bad day. I explained that I was having a bad telemarketing and scammer day and again said that I don't have any magazine subscriptions. I finally had to hang up on her. The phone ID said TMS LLC. When I called to have them put me on their permanent do not call list, the operator said that this was an answering service. I asked if they took messages since they're an answering service and she hmm & hah'd but wouldn't answer my questions. REALLY pissed me off. As soon as I get an actual address I think that I'll pay them a visit in person and have a personal conversation with them and try to impress on them to never call me again.
Called pretending to be Guidepost Christian Magazine wanting to give me a deal on my subscription to Guidepost for 1 yr. $39.95, but I could have for it $20. (I knew this was a scam because I had already paid my subscription for 2 years for $25.97 directly thru Guideposts and I keep up with all my subscriptions) They also mentioned Reader's Digest. They called back repeatedly after I hung up. Am going to call Guidepost and alert them tomorrow. Caller ID read: TMS LLC, lady said her name was Caroline.
Same thing as above. Called me today about renewing Reader's Digest. Asked if I was over 55 and since I am, she said I could have it for $20 per year. She said price will be going up to $62.00 per year. She could lock me in for 4 years at the $20. Advised her I do not do anything by phone when I am called. I will check out with Reader's Digest myself.
I finally answered after ignoring their calls for DAYS. (Today I was in the mood to play with them so that's why I answered.) They did the same thing as above for Readers Digest. I did not get around to telling them I'm not a senior, but I told them "my subscription is a gift, but thanks for calling, have a good day, take care now, bye bye." I hung up and my phone immediately rang again. I answered it and said, "Take me off your list," and hung up. They called right back, let it ring four times and then they hung up since I did not answer.
