I was contacted by a Jose who claimed to be working part-time for a company that he identified as GE Capital. There actually is a legitimate company named GE Capital, but this no. is not on its website.
In short, I was told that I had already been approved for a loan up to $10k. I informed Jose that I was only seeking $3k.
I then sent a Green Dot Money Card for $50 which Jose emphasized was the processing fee, Christine then told me that I had to send in another $250 since my credit score was temporarily low. I then submitted another $250.
Roughly, another thirty minutes later, I was told that the financing dept. needed another $100 - which I again sent via another Green Dot Money Card.
I have sent a total of $400 to this party. I feel like a major fool.
Caller claim to be calling from GE Capital loan services when I told him my wife did not apply for a loan with GE he hung up in my face. When I called back his answering came on so, I hung and called back and a lady answer the phone when I mention Marks' name she hung up in my face. When I called for the third time It was a recorded message.
