This number belongs to a scammer I have a vehicle listed on Craigslist and the scam is that they tell you that they will pay for your car with paypal they urge you to open the account of course. Of course who the hell is going to buy a car long distance and not look at it. But beware these people have very official looking documents. Do not deal with anybody without checking your account personally. Be warned that they set the e-mails up that you will think that they come from paypal. f you get suspisous and quetion there validity they will be happy to send you a e-mail for paypal if you look closely you will see it goes back to them so that they may e-mail that all is well. be careful!!!!
He is texting me as I type this trying to access my paypal info. I keep telling him to call. Apparently he is unable to understand English, lol. Beware of people that reply by text when you are selling large ticket items.
Scammer! I have a ad on Craigslist for a available room and they responded via text. Asked me if they can send money to secure room since they live in Spain.
Just got double texted (same message sent twice immediately) asking about large ticket items I had on craigslist. Said he was in the millitary, so his movement and communications were being monitored. That was his exuse for taking a day to respond to my immediately returned texts to his inquiry. Wants to send me a personal check for the items with an excess amount for me to pay his delivery guy when he shows up to pick the items up. (I think he sends emails from the royalty in Africa, as well!) Never haggled over prices and wants to buy the vehicles sight-unseen. The scam is that the check won't clear, but the bank doesn't catch up with the phoney check until after the scammer is gone with the items and a chunk of MY cash. Because when the check bounces my friends, you have to pay the bank back ALL the money that the check was for - plus bounced check fees, etc. And if there's not enough money in your account to cover it, you're in a world of hurt. Remember, if doesn't feel right - DON"T DO IT! And, if it seems too good to be true, IT IS!
