When I read caller ID stating "anonymous" called I sent it straight to my landline's answering machine. I guess that through them (should say him, it was a male) for an unsuspecting loop because he asked the machine by my legal 1st name only which I don't go by so I knew it wasn't anything important. Lately been getting several out of town calls, got to love election years!
In this day & age, when everyone has been forced to screen their calls to evade telescammers, who in their right mind would ever pick that call up?
Then again, maybe the demographic these crooks are targeting are those members of that unfortunate percentage of the population who *aren't* in their right mind.
I guess when crooks screen us, their marks, for mental ...erm, anomalies, it makes it that much easier for them to con at least some of us out of our hard-earned cash.
