Scammer named Det. John Howard who claims to be with the Feds (FDA) said that if $6,213.00 was not sent to a Carlos Paulino in Stony Point, NY, within three hours via FexdEx, I would be arrested by the Feds. Howard claimed to be with the FDA and that I had purchased drugs that could kill me! Sorry, the Feds don't work that way. He started to get nasty, as well. It is scam, don't fall for it.
Same Scam of CIGAR SHOP in California...Same MO....Product Purchased with Credit Card by person in Oregon, to Shipped to Disabled Brother in Stoney Point, NY, using Credit Card from Sister in California......Overnight Shipping....
I too received a call from a "Det. John Howard" from the FDA concerning my potential arrest. He said that he was the Chief Commander of the Investigation and that he had the ability to drop any potential charges if I cooperated and sent $942.00 to a "Mario Munoz" in the Dominican Republic. I was told that if i did not cooperate I would be arrested immediately and prosecuted. When I asked him if I should get a lawyer, he quickly said "No absolutely not, a lawyer will only make things worse."
Upon investigation, I found out that this was a scam. I called the FDA's Office of Criminal Investigations, and was told that there is no such employee and thy ehave verified that this is a scam.
