Called looking for a woman named Janet and left a few messages on my phone for her. I answered the fourth time and a guy was on the other line and said, "Can I just leave a message for Janet?" Then I asked him who this was and he wouldn't tell me. He just wanted to leave a message. He asked me if he had the right number and repeated my number back to me...
Anyway, I told him that he doesn't need to call me again. I never found out his name.
Just got a call from these people. Didn't answer, they left a message. The bill to Lab Corp rings true, but I don't have a copy of the bill. I have no idea how much I owe (except that it is under fifty), so I went to the website, had the 11 digit account number they gave me, and I still couldn't get through. I'm trying to be fair about this, I would actually like to pay my bill, but I don't actually have any way of getting through to them without calling them back, which is the last thing I'd want to do. Seriously, they can't send a letter or set up their website correctly?
Allstate says I owe them money, I say I don't. I got a call from this number yesterday, but it's the exact recording I've been getting from 877-289-0281 for the last several months. Yes, this is CCS, a collection agency. I talked to an actual person a few months ago and explained why I don't owe Allstate but the calls haven't stopped. They call at least once a week, every week, sometimes twice in one week. I never answer my cell phone anymore when I don't recognize the phone number on caller i.d.
