This AACC called me too, three days ago. I'm in the Midwest. Someone else answered, and said that after they said hello, nobody on the other end said anything and the caller hung up.
I was going through some older posts that were posted in September of last year, and one poster said it was a call for one of those fraudulent auto warranties. So who knows what the call to me was for. It better not be a new start of warranty calls again(for me anyway). I haven't gotten those warranty calls or interest rate reduction calls for at least 3 or 4 months.
Automated call, for person not associated with my number. Various push button selections given. Pushed for not the right number and was answered by live person who would only ask for the person and refused to identify self or company.
Called number back and talked to Tammy at Assett Acceptance, who took my number to remove it from their system.
