My phone is ringing everyday with this company calling and I have no idea who they are because it is very annoying to me. I hope the phone company can block this caller.
This actually works if it is past the statute of limitations. In Michigan it is 7 years. AFNI tried to collect a debt of over 15 years ago. I sent them a Cease And Desist letter. (which you can copy from a search engine) They called 3 times a day from different numbers. Send it certified mail needing a signature that it was accepted. They are to stop calling after receiving it. A rep called me not long after. I went berserk on her. She said she had the letter right next to her on her desk. "And you still called me"? I hung up and found a lawyer online that sued debt collectors. I received a check for $1000. Lawyer claimed he got attorney fees only. RIGHT!
