Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
I received a phone call about a week ago i ignored it because i know i dont owe anything but for good measure with tax season right here i wanted to make sure i didnt get red flagged so im speaking to a guy his name was something walker a indian guy saying i owe 3000 dollars and if i dont pay within 45 minutes the police will be at my house to arrest me... He would not tell me how i owe or from were i owe then he said if i pay 500 now i would be good everyhing he was saying juss seemed off in glad i googled this number you guys helped me out to prove it was a scam
I got the same call from a 301-223-3002, they didnt leave a name or company name except for claiming they're the IRS. It was an autimated voice mail saying they want me to call that number back to discuss my tax bill from the IRS and they need verification. They didn't say what I owed, they didn't make any threats on the message, they just said I had a tax bill. I'm a single man with no kids so filing my taxes is pretty simple and nothing has changed for the years I have paid my taxes. I don't see how I owe anything.
