I have read that is no more $ to run and support the DNC list ! It has been overlooked, non-funded, and unmonitored for years. A lot of people who still think it's covering them, but it's NOT. The scamming will continue unabated as long as we have phones ! Wish someone would invent a stun gun that works through the phone for scammers !
Got a call from 301-232-3587 today (Tuesday) at 2:20 pm. Caller ID said "SANDY SPRING MD". Answering machine took the message - robocomm from the American Petroleum Institute trying to drum up political support for fracking in Western Maryland.
Same as Tony....Trying to get support for contaminating underground water supply & causing earthquakes by fracking; now illegal in many states and should be prohibited everywhere. .
A call back goes into a never ending message loop stating that they were calling me with either a market research survey or a political call, but never state their name. Since the American Petroleum Institute doesn't sound like a political caller, I have to assume this was a survey of some sort. Could someone please tell me where survey calls fall within the glorious Do-Not-Call legislation?? With all the political phishing scams and charitable scams being perpetrated every day by nothing more than lowlife thieves, I must assume this outfit falls right in line with the rest of the scammers. Call blockers are the only way to get any peace and quiet!!
