This is someone calling from clinton, md on behalf of the Fraternal order of police. I told them I do not accept solicitation phone calls. They turned around and called using another number from Laurel, MD 301-575-9145. If you cant respect my initial request not to call me dont call from another number. This just proves you are not legit.
Thanks for the comment ssnumber. I had a suspicion this was a "charity" or junk call so didn't answer it. The FOP called me in the past and they definitely don't seem legit.
The Fraternal Order of Police is one of the worst offenders out there. Since the cops have access to unpublished numbers, they supply them to their fundraising organizations — and since they're cops, there's nothing you can do except not answer calls from numbers you don't recognize. What we need is a limitless call blocker that can be put on our phone line(s) to automatically reject repeated junk calls. The 40- and 80-call limits just aren't enough anymore.
A company that called me from this line called because since I purchased a new car almost 2 years ago. My warranty was about to expire and they were calling to see if I wanted to renew, mind you they have called me twice. The first time I simply said no thank you and hung up...the second time when I said no thank you the douche on the line said I was uneducated for not wanting to purchase his warranty...um what? Trust me when I said we had words back and forth before he hung up on me. What a jerk.. Its from a landline phone from Clinton, that is all my caller I.D would say.
