They called my grandmothers cell phone and said it was John from the American Police Association. They asked if i wanted to give a donation then i hung up.
Called on a Sunday night... After 8 pm... Nobody normal does that!! As was police and Sherriffs association... Somebody gave your number to them... Probably my evil ex... I'm on the do not call registry .. If it was legit then tjey would know that!!!
I had the same thing happen. He was very persistent, and when I asked questions (with no intention of giving him any money) he never really answered any of them, just kept asking "how much they could depend on me" for. I told him I already contribute to my local organizations, but he persisted. Hung up on him.
Just got a call from this number, ON MY CELL PHONE!. Sherriffs raising money. I asked to be removed.
I am on the No call list for all my phones so how do they do this?
