Just got a call at 8:20pm from the same scammers. My caller ID on my phone said Maryland. He asked me for a donation for the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police. My reply to him was not to someone calling from Maryland then I hung up. I just told my husband I feel like calling these losers and saying I would love to
donate to such a worthy cause and get their address and send them Monopoly money.
Just called me. It was an appeal for donations to The Ohio Chiefs of Police, but my Caller ID said OCC Phillipin, which is a totally different charity. So the scammers apparently are too damn dumb to remember which charity they are representing at the time. Since I NEVER respond to phone charities, no matter how legitimate the call may seem, I told the man I would not help and hung up. I then called back and got a generic recording that told me to dial ONE to talk to a live rep. But no one ever answered, and I was given a chance to leave a message. Almost 90% of the calls I receive from phone numbers I do not recognize are TOTAL FRAUDS trying to steal something from me.
Received a call. I know 301 is a Maryland area code since I've relatives there and am from there. Caller said he was in Ohio, specifically Dublin, Ohio. He continued to argue and proceeded to money, and I hung up. This is a fraud case as far as I am concerned.

CHARITY SCAMMERS USING VARIOUS MADE UP CHARITY NAMES AS LISTED ON COMPLAINT SITES. MAKES REPEAT PHONE CALLS FROM VARIOUS PHONE NUMBERS. TARGETS TOP EXECUTIVES AT BUSINESSES.
These people are complete idiots who refuse to answer any question. They will not tell you where their company is located or give the company EIN. They refuse to tell you what their company does. They refuse to tell you who their supervisor is or give a contact information for that person. They refuse to give a call back number. Their M.O. is to get the person on the phone that they feel has the money to target them for a charity scam. They call back repeatedly many times a day, several times a day for weeks on end. They have a couple different people calling to try to fool you, but they were dumb enough to claim to be from the same fake charity which is how we learned about them. When they know you are someone who has blocked them from their target, they will either hang up or else lie and claim they misdialed. They want to get some other person on the phone who will allow them to speak to their target. They do not want to leave a voicemail. They will call your switchboard from two or more phone numbers at once, hoping to get a different operator while they distract you, the person who hangs up on them.
