Yeah, another of what I call "4 ring phone calls", (allegedly) from this number. Since I don't answer ANY calls that (again allegedly) originate from numbers and/or areas that I don't recognize - and advise everyone else to do the same - I have no idea what these "people" wanted, nor do I care. BUT, I would be willing to bet the mortgage money that it wasn't legitimate. Also, I feel that I should warn everyone to "steer clear" of these web sites that claim to be able to perform so-called "reverse phone look-ups". When you "click on" to those sites, they give you this BIG hustle, claiming to be able to tell you EVERYTHING about EVERYBODY !! First of all, that's almost all BS. If these scam calls originate via VOIP, or from so-called "burners" (prepaid cell phones available from kiosks and convenience stores) which by the way, almost all of them do, its virtually impossible to trace. But first, there's the "little matter" of the "fee" - that's the "hook" in this scam. This "fee" can only be paid via credit or debit card(s). Once you give them the number of your card(s) that's when the fun begins - for them. They can charge whatever they please, whenever they please, and as often as they please. Do you, or anyone REALLY want that "monkey on your back", or on your account? Think about this !! Don't give out this information to ANYONE, unless you have "done business" with the person, or firm, and absolutely know and trust them - and PLEASE, not to some stranger !!
