Got a call from this number about an hour ago. She said she was from irs and I was being investegated for using hr block. Also that I was doing my taxes wrong and I will be going to jail for 5 years. I told her that I was goong to find out for sure by calling irs myself. She tried to get my personal info. When I mentioned irs she hung up quick
Exactly! My "Andrew" did not sound Scottish as well :) The idea of his call was exactly the same. Super federal case which is about to be forwarded if I do not return his call. Since when a simple call has a power to stop Federal cases? I am not a lawyer but I am not idiot either :)
Received the same basic message from Ms. Megan Tann of the fictitious IRS Investigation Service she works for in Maryland. She mentioned I was being contacted due to a legal case that was filed. She provided the same 301-327-9503 NUMBER for a call back but the accent gave it away. I know this is a scam because I pay way too much back in taxes to the IRS every year. If I received a phone call from them it should be, we owe you some money back but I doubt I'll be getting that call. I hope the day will come that all of these phone scammers as well as the identify thieves and serve them up a good plate of justice.

I've received a call from these scam bags this morning. The guy had a thick accent, and I could hear other people taking on the background. The quality of his voice was telling me about VOP internet call. The [***] left me a voice mail threatening with some super legal actions against me, and asked to call back if I do not want this case to be "forwarded to the authorities". Well, for years, my taxes have been filed by my super knowledgable CPA who worked for IRS for number of years and everything was by the law. Secondly, IRS NEVER calls, they mail official letters. I am sad to think that there are vulnerable old people who are going to be the victims of these trash scammers.
I received a call from (301)327-9503. A Megan Tan called and said she is a representative of the IRS. I believe this is fake. This Megan Tan claims she is IRS and is going with a legal way against me?
