The problem is, if you block one number, they just use another number to call. I received a call from 301-329-5060 yesterday ( which was flagged at this site as an FOP call ), blocked it - then received a call from this number ( 301-329-5055 ) just a few hours later.
My call blocking feature provides for blocking of up to 100 numbers - but these callers use so many numbers that I've long since exceeded that capacity.
Caller ID said Clarksville, MD. Silence on the line, then a deep male voice said hello. I replied that I was expecting him to say something. More silence. I suspect that this was the fundraising organization that solicits for police causes.
Then why call people outside of Clarksville? Crazy. First time caller, at 7:11PM, EST on 11/3/15. I didn't answer; they didn't leave a message.CID was Clarksville MD
Clarksville is in Montgomery County and has no local police. All locations within the County use County Police except for a few municipalities. In addition, they never actually state which police they are raising money for, just a generic Fraternal Order of Police. Sure signs of a paid fundraiser that pockets the vast majority of funds raised and may not have even been contracted by the Fraternal Organization.
