Caller ID comes up as "Maynard, B" but the caller had a Pakistani or Indian accent, and was reading a script about providing a discount on our gas bill.  There were numerous other voices in the background making it obvious he was calling from a telemarketing center.

Same as above. Asking for gas account number to apply the discount.

Same here. If they were real they would already have your account number. Never give them info over the phone.  Not even your name.

I ASKED A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE, WHO WORKS FOR MY GAS PROVIDER CO, REGARDING THIS KIND OF CALLS AND HE SAID THAT WASHIGNTON GAS DOES NOT CALL CUSTOMER REGARDING DISCOUNTS.
