Obvious scam, claiming second attempt to contact me to appear before a Grand Jury investigation. Call back the number to speak to a Federal Agent, blah blah. No specifics but vaguely threatening recorded message is a giveaway - real government officials would never work like that. Mother got a very similar message yesterday from a different phone number claiming to be IRS enforcement. Presume some kind of phishing for your personal info.
*SCAM* Yeah, enforcement action, federal agent, final notice, IRS, etc. Recording coming from "Unknown Caller", saying all that and to call back at this number. The recording said its name was "Erica Bowers". IRS doesn't call, particularly for any kind of "Enforcement action".
Similar to the ongoing IRS scam, this one states you are the subject of a Federal Grand Jury, this is the final attempt, and call to talk to a Federal agent. Government agencies do not leave phone messages. All initial contacts are made by mail. Do not respond.
I have got this message several times within the last few months. They just called again and left the same message as above. I was going to call and mess with them as I have done in the past, but don't have time! They are serious when you call them back too! I just played along with them until I got tired. They believed I was so scared! lol Scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
