I've been getting repeated calls from this number over the last week or so. The caller ID says "Bectel." The phone number is in MD. I have not picked up and they left no message. I searched for phone number on computer and could find no info. I did find "Bechtel," however. It appears to be a legit worldwide engineering and construction company. Another however: On http://www.bechtel.com/about-us/contact-us/ the following info appears "Alert! Hoax: Fraudulent job offers Bechtel has received reports about individuals receiving fraudulent job confirmation letters via email and mail, and unsolicited job postings, emails, and Facebook conversations claiming to offer employment by Bechtel for positions that do not exist. Some of these emails purportedly identify various Bechtel directors, managers, or others as the senders. Some of the fraudulent job offers have also included phone numbers, and potential applicants have been encouraged to call in pursuit of job opportunities. These emails and other materials solicit personal information and sometimes money. THESE POSTINGS, EMAILS, AND OTHER SOLICITATIONS ARE NOT LEGITIMATE, AND BECHTEL HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM."
I just got a call on house phone saying Bechtel. I did what you did and looked up Bechtel on the web and saw this same info about the job hoax. Good job in posting the full info that Bechtel put on their site!
Called about half an hour ago. As George above states, CID says BECHTEL which is a legitimate company, but I doubt this call was legit. Whoever it was only let the phone ring twice before hanging up. Number now blocked.
Call from this number (Caller ID "Bechtel") but when answered produced only a dial tone. Two minutes later a call from 301-210-7336 was a Robocall from "Veronica from Member Services," offering to lower my credit card debt. I believe the first call (301-360-0350) was a phishing expedition, looking for confirmation someone was at home and likely would answer the second call (from 301-210-7336)
