No, I'm not going to give money to a bunch of whinny children who are spoon-fed liberal propaganda and need their safe spaces and most will probably never graduate with a skill that businesses will need and hire them. And no, pouring coffee at Starbucks does not count as a skill (no offense to Starbucks employees, just don't think you need an overpriced college education for that job.)
This number appears when any University of Maryland campus phone calls off campus. That includes academics, fundraising, student dorm rooms, and anyone else.
I just got the same call. The guy seemed nice and he asked for my parents. Didn't talk to them. I go to UMD, why would they want to talk to my parents?
I graduated in 2000...They call me once or twice a day for the last 2-3 weeks. It was driving me crazy..glad I stumbled onto this site. I remember they used to call my parents house for donations too...luckily they moved and don't have to deal with the phone harassment. I was going to write a check for $100,000 but have decided to donate it to Duke instead.
