I happen to live in a geographic area where many of the telephone numbers have "301-429-xxxx".  The scammers LOVE to spoof these numbers.  My phone rings at 5:40 PM on May 22, 2017 with the Caller ID showing:  "301-429-8501".  When I pick up, I immediately said:  "If you are a telemarketer, YOU KNOW WHERE TO GO!"  They hung up without saying anything.
