Called three times in the last two days. Tried to call back using *67 to block my number from their caller ID and got a recording saying the call could not be completed as dialed. Added the number to my contacts as IDIOT MARKETER and blocked it.
301-450-1122 calls my U. S. Senate issued Sprint cell at least once a day and hangs up as soon as I answer. Very annoying! Other users say this is telemarketing call from Direct Buy.
The Direct Buy thing is just a front, this is the government tracking phones, numbers or people. I see this number from time to time pop up on my phone, like today. It means that your number has been flagged for some reason, they may only need to call your number and let it ring a couple times, or they may need to keep calling until they can get an actual person to answer the phone. They will use the cover of being a telemarketer from "Direct Buy" and offer you something that is low demand and pricey so you hang up on them, because they have what they need at that point.
That's interesting. Can you explain why the government is "tracking my phone" when I am sitting in a government building, which they would have seen me enter on surveillance footage and have a record of me swiping my badge to do so, with a phone right on my desk that they own? If they wanted to know where I was, they could use our internal IM system to ping me, send me an email, or just have someone from IT monitor the activity on or even take control of my government-issued computer. Or they could just walk in my unlocked office door and say hi.

PPS, Direct Buy is and always has been the home furnishings equivalent of a time share. They are a scam of a company, and it's completely unsurprising that they could cold call anyone in their area and try to hawk them an expensive membership that gets the buyer almost nothing. That said, they've really ramped this up and I've now gotten two calls in the last two days, after receiving just one some months ago. All have gone unanswered. On my auto-reject list.
