I get calls from this number at least 5 times a day. They will call, hang up, call right back, hang up, call right back again. I want to reach through the phone and punch them in the face! When I have answered I get various reasons they are calling... job opportunity, won a prize, won a cruise, subscription to magazines, etc. I hate them all!!!
This number is allegedly from "Publishers Service". "James" claims I have won a huge cash prize in addition to magazines. I just had to answer a few questions - age range, which credit card did I use often. However, I had to verify my full name. I said I would verify my name if he gave it to me since he called me. He gave several excuses - company policy, demographics. I never gave him my name and he hung up.
Well done. You can't seem to get it into people's heads that you DO NOT have to give any information on a phone call you did not make. They called you. Legitimate companies know who you are. Only give out information on a call you made, from a number you verified as real.
It was a guy named Jaime who was calling from North American Publishers Services who kept telling me that I won a huge prize. However, he kept asking me if I could hear him okay.The interesting thing is that I believe he was calling from a different phone line and was USING the 301-453-2320 as a connection to make the call seem Local. He asked me for MY contact information after calling ME. I don't trust them.
