Yes, I too received the following email from Kevin Slade in response to an item I was selling on Craigslist. The grammar and use of words lead me to believe that English is not his first language.
I love the part where he refers to his secretary.

am getting married next week and am very busy at the moment. but you

with the pick up, I'll send a Certified check to you which you can
Easily Cash in your Bank or any Cashing Store around you. my secretary
will mail across to you IMMEDIATELY.and after my check have been
Cleared in your bank then i will arrange for the pick up. The check
will be delivered to you via USPS Postal Mail OR FEDEX Kindly provide
me the following information to facilitate the mailing of the check
to your location.

3. City, State and Zip Code

You guys are right. I too have gotten emails from him for a car Im selling on Craigslist. Always refers to car as "your item". Wants to send a certified check for much over the asking price. Yes its that old scam again! Was hoping his number was good so I could prank him!
