Just showed the number on caller ID. Before I got a chance to report this unwanted call, I got another scam call from a slightly different number. No message either time - Is this the same cruddy company thinking I will answer a few minutes later if I didn't answer this one?
Apparently another sketchy "Veterans Charity" solicitor. We have been receiving a rash of calls from this organization which I believe to be National Vietnam Veterans Foundation, Inc. D/B/A American Veterans Support Foundation (J. Thomas Burch Jr., President). They call from dozens of telephone numbers in the following area codes: 202, 240, 301, 443, 571, and 650. These calls do originate domestically, but they hide behind the cloak of a 501(c)3 organization so they are exempt from the National Do Not Call List. All we can do is block the telephone numbers, and that is why they are utilizing a wide variety of ever-changing numbers.
