Added them to my reject list, along with the other ten numbers they've called me from. Same scammers each time. I don't know why they think calling from a different number will get them different results. Thankful that I can add to a reject list at least so they can't keep calling me from the same one.
Recorded message from Heather from account services calling in reference to my credit card account. I am on the do not call list. Why must they call me and everyone else with a phone 100 times per person per year and with different phone numbers each time they call? Will the phone system run out of phone numbers because of crap phone calls such as these? They are ridiculous. I wish they would go jump in the depths of the deep blue sea!!!!!!!
This number is being used by India based scammers trying to get credit card info in order to 'reduce your credit card interest'. Strung them along for about 20 minutes and dropped the call. They called back using 415-620-4312, which also is being used for google seo scams.
They kept trying to get my full credit card number. They don't ask for the full number, but they want your bank/card-type (which provides the first 4 digits), and tried to get every number and was gracious enough to only get all but 1 number (which they can calculate using the luhn checksum). They insisted they were from my bank, but never asked my name, even though I offered that several times to 'confirm the account'.
This is a blantant scam. If you do reveal your credit card number/expiration date - CALL YOUR BANK IMMEDIATELY! Do not given them ANY digits, since if you give them enough (bank name, card type, and just 11 of the other digits) they can figure out the rest and abuse your credit card.
Thank you very much for posting your info. I received a call about 20 min ago and figured it was something like this as I know no one in Maryland and don't usually give out cell #.
