The person that called from 301-505-5590 wanted to speak to the homeowner, verified homeowner's name, and kept asking if we had home paid for, or a mortgage and who mortgage through. They said they were with the Egyptian....(don't remember the entire part, just remember they said Egyptian...) in Maryland.....
called my residence in Virginia at 11:41 am. said he was from Mortgage Solutions. the caller id did not have a name. He asked for my husband by name and said he was calling about the mortgage on the house. He asked if we had a mortgage or if it was paid off. Of course i did not answer him, and he got testy and asked for my husband again. Like my husband would be able to do something without my signature. I am a lisenced real estate salesperson in VA. We are on DNC list so a reputable mortgage co is not going to break those laws. I asked him what state he was calling from so I can look up their license in VA. he said he did not understand the question and had what i think is an accent from India. I asked him what state he is in again and he hesitated and then hung up.
I received a call from the number above and it had Maryland on the caller ID. I answered the phone and said hello 3 times and no one would speak. All of the sudden I hear a buzz noise then a disconnect noise and then dead air. I tried calling the number back and it has a message that the number is not in service.
