I just called this number back. I was annoyed to find out that the recording says this is an unassigned Magic Jack number. The person who called me and left a msg on my answering machine couldn't speak a coherent word of English AND threatened that if I didn't call back they would have," no choice but to start legal action ". I really wish they would call back when I am here to actually answer the phone so I can get THEIR name! What a waste of time!
Wow, I got a message from this number from "officer John Butler" in a strange perhaps Asian accent which sounded computerized urging me to call this number which he repeated as a hotline, "don't disregard this message and do return the call and if I don't hear from you or your attorney either then the only thing which I could to for you is wish you a very good luck as the legal situation badly unfolds on you otherwise have a really great day." This call came from Indian Head, MD.
I knew right away that this was a prank. Hopefully others will realize. When I put the number into my search engine, it came up with this site and your helpful comments. I hope mine is helpful as well.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Received two call from John Parker. First on 11/7/14 and then again on 11/8/14 at 8:45 pm. In the second call, message stated if he did not hear back from me or my attorney he wished me "good luck" with this "very time-sensitive legal matter".
I received the same call, the recording was left on my answering machine (with identical wording). My only difference is that my "Officer John Parker" sounded Russian and slightly digitized...
