A woman with a very thick accent called from this number, said the company is/was "Bankers Gaithersburg".. but would not tell me what they do/did, and I asked several time. She simply launched into a obviously written script about "six figure management opportunities"... I hung up. Googled 'bankers gaithersburg' and perhaps she was calling from Bankers Independent Insurance Company (????)
I got a call from this woman on 6/29/2010 at 4:46 PM, saying she was from Bankers of Calverton. Same deal, they were looking for professionals, said she found my resume on monster, etc. Asked me to come in for an interview on 7/6/2010 at either 10:30 AM or 1 PM. Thanked her for considering me, but informed her that I was looking for an Software Engineering position....Definitely sounds like they need to be reported to the FTS for violating the DNC registry.....
I just got called by this number as well, and as I know I have applied for jobs on Monster, I do not recall applying for a "Bankers of Gaithersburg" position. My name is also Taryn, but a lady with a very strong, thick accent kept calling me "Tarlene" and forgot to verify my email address. I had to ask myself. It almost sounded as if her phone line was maybe either full of static, or being altered to sound like someone else. She asked if I could come in at either 10:30 AM or 12:30 PM on the third of August. As I am a bit younger than the professional-character they seek, I am curious as to if this person is a telemarketer or if I would be silly to show up to a fake interview.. This is also not the first time I have gotten a strange call from a company I did not recognize. I'm starting to re-think about having my resume up on Monster!
