You did nothing wrong, this is a huge scam. Its a bunch of crooks sitting in a house somewhere cold calling people and using big scary phrases like, "You or your attorney need to call us back right now." Or, "Financial Litigation Services fraud unit." I have contacted the FBI regarding these calls and the agent told me that people all over the US are calling to report this, and it is fake. If you notice, they never say your name, I don't know what number they have been calling you on, but they've been calling my cell. When the call come in, there is a "+" in front of the number, that is a pretty good indication that these people are not in the country. Or the call is being routed through an out of state/country switchboard and that will make it harder to track them. Someone said that they found an address of 401 E Pratt in Baltimore, MD. But if you look up the businesses that are in the building, this company, or the name of the other company they go by, "Pre Trial Investagations," neither one is listed. However the office building does have several empty suites. So I think they use that address as a front, kind of how the mob would use a legit business as a front. Just in case someone started poking around. These is another address of 1213 N Parrish also in Baltimore, but that's a house, and I believe that is the true base of operations. So all in all, this is a scam, block the numbers, delete the voicemails and don't worry about it. They will do to you what they did to me, give up and move on.
It appears to be part of a scam, they claim to be from Financial Litigations, they left me a voice mail telling me to call 301-850-4181 with my attorneys info. Lot of people on other sites are saying that when you talk to them, they say they are collecting on an old payday loan. Thinking about calling them and giving them the name and phone number for the US Attorney General, wonder how that will go over?
