The caller claimed to be from the "Medical Compensation Dept". I asked what company. He said it's not a company. (so he's obviously a scammer.) He said he has some information that I take some medicine called "black" something that I couldn't understand. I asked him to spell it. He said I could get some medicine for free. I said I can't understand him and asked him to spell it again. He hung up.
Called my unlisted mobile number, didn't leave a message. I've been getting so many telemarketing calls (even though we are DO NOT CALL on both house and cell) that I've had to resort to switching to a VOIP provider that lets me whitelist friends, family and other known phone numbers; the rest just sail into the ether. My iPhone is now on permanent "Do Not Disturb".
I am looking at the dates of the above complaints and I guess this is a new number being used. Did not answer because it had a "state" listed in caller ID. A dead giveaway for either robo-call or illegal telemarketer. And if you do answer and get a "live" person, invariably you cannot understand them anyway. These calls are annoying because if you do not answer, they keep calling. If you DO answer and it is a robo-call, then you will still be annoyed. It is a Catch 22 situation. They know all the tricks and you are at their mercy. The fact that if you do get a live voice and yell, complain or even try having a conversation with them, telling them you do not understand them, THEY hang up on you.
