They called my mobile phone as well. Be careful and spread the word to friends; they are asking for personal information. They also called back a minute later after I hung up on them under an unknown number.

A Washington Gas customer - which I'm not. He hung up immediately when I said I wasn't. I called the number back and it said the subscriber at this wireless number is not available. I can see from my phone log that they also called twice on 6/18/2013 but did not leave a message. This whole thing feels shady. Beware. I also reported the call to DoNotCall.gov since I'm registered on the federal Do Not Call list.
I received a similar call the other day around 7 p.m. He claimed he was calling so I could receive discounts from Washington Gas. I became suspicious when he asked for my account number. (I figured If you are calling from Washington gas you should have the account information). When I said I don't have it on me he said well I'll call back at 9pm and make sure I answer. I knew then this was some type of scam. I felt uneasy because this random guy knows my name address, and cell number.
