That's a very clever idea... to answer and just listen on a number you don't recognize. I received a call from this number at 8:42pm and called back with a block. It went straight to vm., and the box was full. If it were a scam (and I have received shady calls asking for donations with a cc#), I simply deflect and hang up. Be sure to give to organizations that are approved. You cannot be too careful.
Same as others. I answer the phone and no one is there. I call back, and voice mail is full. Could be the FOP. I told them not to call me anymore because they lied to me once by claiming they are not a labor union. I got more hangup calls from them after that.
Got a call from this number 4 times within 5 minutes.. each time I hung up and he kept on calling.. Last time I asked for his name and he hung up... He claimed to be a Police Fund.
I received a call from 301-659-4308, it was a black male around 35 yrs old claiming he was with the Montgomery County Fraternal Order of Police. He knew my last name so he was obviously looking up numbers in phone directory. He was asking for "tax deductible charity donations." I told him no and hung up on me. When I tried to call the number back it stated his mailbox was full.
