CID shows Indian Head, MD. Left taped message offering dryer vent cleaning, press 1 for more info, press 2 to be removed from list. Then offered duct cleaning with free dryer vent cleaning and repeated the options. Company name not given. Call is in violation of the DNC list and may be a scam to collect personal info. We have received similar calls from other numbers with other places shown.
The DNC list does work. Only companies that are honest and liget will follow the rules regarding the DNC list. Scammers on the other hand, don't care about you or what laws they may be breaking. The only thing they care about is getting your personal information so they can steal your hard earn money, other than that, they don't care. I agree with "DNC is a joke" and invest in a blocking device for your home phone and an app for your cell phone to block unwanted calls.
Newer cell phones already have an app installed on the phone that will allow you to block unwanted calls. Depending on how old your phone is, will determine if you need to down load an app or if their is an app already on your phone. If your not sure, your cell phone carrier will be able to help you with that.
Like my IPhone 4s for example, it has an app already on the phone for blocking unwanted calls, including unwanted text messages as well and both are easy to use.
