Today I received multiple calls at work from these people. I had no idea who they were and firstly told them not to call my job and gave them my cell # unfortunately. I figured whoever they were, I could deal with it later. Then this rude woman continued calling me while I was at work. I told her to call my cell and she said she needed a good time to call. I said call anytime and hung up. She called back saying the same thing and I repeated call my cell. The next few times she called back to back and I just hung up each time not saying a word. The next time they called was a few hours later with some guy saying the same thing. I cut him off and told him I explained to someone earlier to call my cell. Not a minute goes by and this same rude woman from this morning was on the phone, yelling at the top of her lungs when I tell her let me ask you something. She said No with her voice raised so I hung up. I was going to ask for her business name, address, etc. but she was in this crazy [***] mode which I will not deal with. I am hoping they stop calling me sooner than later because it is truly unacceptable to have at least 10 phone calls while at work from this scam [***] company. If this were a legitimate debt, they would never behave in such a manner. So if you get similar calls where they are vague in why they are calling, they are a scammer.
I got a call from this number claiming they are some Arbitration Company in reference to a $300.00 payday loan that was defaulted in May 2010 that was supposable deposited into my bank. They are asking me now, five years later to pay $880.00 now over the phone or I will be forced to pay over $7,500.00 when they send me to court. They cannot provide me with any documents on the payday loan nor a date of when the funds were actually deposited. The May 2010 date is a default date not the date the funds were deposited. The bank cannot find any proof either of the funds being deposited. Be careful when they call you.
Do not answer when these creps call. Do not call them back. This is a complete fraud. If there was really a default, you would be notified by certified or registered mail and you would sign for it. Outstanding debt is a civil issue, not anything handled by law enforcement. We do not have debtors jail in this country. Law enforcement told me that if they were really going to serve you arrest papers, they would not call you because then you would disappear and could not be found. I called my lawyer and the police on this and they both assured me this is a fraud.
